We need your help stuffing the bus! Plain Local Schools has teamed up with the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank for a food drive. We are collecting non-perishable food items April 29-May 6 at all nine Plain Local School buildings. We know first-hand the impact hunger has on a child. In classrooms across the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank’s eight-county service area, 1 in 6 children may face hunger this year. In Stark County alone, that is more than 15,600 kids who may be food insecure. To make an online donation, please click here.

IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS

• April 2: Prom tickets go on sale through April 24 at this link.
• May 4: Prom at La Pizzeria doors open at 5:30, locked at 6 pm. No late entry. Ends at 10 pm.
• May 14: Chalk the Lot 6-8 pm
• May 8: Graduation tickets are available in academy offices. Students must complete the senior survey to get tickets. Senior survey link: tinyurl.com/GOHS2024                                                                     
• May 9: Senior Academic Awards Night
• May 9: Senior's last day. All coursework must be completed, including online. No late work will be accepted. 
• May 16: Senior Walk. Meet in the theater at 8:30 am. Buses will depart at 9. Sign up required.
• May 16: Senior Picnic. During lunches, it will be outside of the D Wing. Students can not enter the building; they must walk down from the student parking lot. 
• May 21: Senior Sunrise in the stadium at 7 am
• May 21: Mandatory graduation rehearsal at 8 am at GlenOak.
• May 21: Graduation Ceremony 7 pm; Bob Commings Field, graduates report to the gym at 5:45 pm. Rain dates are May 23 and May 25 at 7 pm.
