Academic Letter
The Academic Letter Program at GlenOak High School is designed to acknowledge and incentivize students who demonstrate exceptional qualities that contribute to their success. This program celebrates students who embody the core values of Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. Academic Letter Forms are due by April 1.
CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS
- No unexcused absences
- No disciplinary referrals
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA at two academic checkpoints:
- At the end of the first semester
- At the end of the third nine weeks
LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Meet deadlines of Academic Letter Requirements
- Submit all information by April 1.
SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
- Complete 30 hours of community service from June 1-April 1 of the academic year
- Submit information on the Academic Letter Form.
- Teacher aide community service is capped at five hours.
