New Treasurer Announced
After an extensive search, Plain Local Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas A. Mancini as the new Treasurer. Mr. Mancini was unanimously approved during the regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, July 17, at the Plain Local Schools administration office.
Nicholas Mancini joins Plain Local Schools after the retirement of longtime Treasurer Kathy Jordan, who has served the district with dedication for 29 years. Mrs. Jordan’s tenure will conclude on August 1, marking the end of an era characterized by steadfast financial stewardship.
Board of Education President Jennifer Fitzsimmons expressed enthusiasm about Mr. Mancini assuming the role: “We are excited to welcome Nick to Plain Local Schools. Nick has demonstrated a passion for this position that I believe will benefit Plain well into the future. His experience and innovative thinking will ensure that we continue to fiscally support the academic excellence that has become the foundation of Plain Local Schools.”
Nick Mancini commented, “I am very excited to join the Plain Local Schools team. I look forward to continuing the well-established tradition of excellence in financial reporting that the district has experienced for many years. I cannot wait to join the district leadership team and help support the great work already taking place in Plain Local.”
About Nicholas A. Mancini: Nick Mancini is a dynamic educational, financial administrator with experience in school financial management. Prior to joining Plain Local Schools, he served as Assistant Treasurer for both Strongsville City Schools and West Branch Local Schools. Nicholas holds an M.B.A. from Heidelberg University and is recognized for his outstanding contributions, including receiving the Ohio Auditor's Award with Distinction and being an NCAA All-American Athlete.
