Plain Local Schools to Host Military Night on August 28

Plain Local Schools and GlenOak Athletics, with Massillon City Schools, will recognize active-duty military members, veterans, and first responders during Military Night at the GlenOak vs. Massillon varsity football game.

The game begins at 7 p.m. Friday, August 28, at Bob Commings Field at GlenOak High School.

Those participating in the pregame recognition should follow these instructions:

• Veterans should meet at the gate near the student section between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m. Veterans will be pinned by a member of the Veterans Service Commission of Stark County.
• Active-duty military members and first responders should meet at the south end zone at 6:30 p.m.

All active-duty military members, veterans, and first responders will receive a complimentary hot dog and drink. Plain Local Schools looks forward to honoring those who serve and have served our community and country.
