Magazine Earns National Recognition
Plain Local Schools has once again earned national recognition for excellence in school communications.
The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) recently announced the winners of its 2026 Publications and Digital Media Awards, recognizing outstanding communication work from school districts and education organizations across the country.
Eagle Nation Magazine received two national honors:
- Award of Excellence for Eagle Nation Magazine: Fall 2025
- Honorable Mention for Eagle Nation Magazine: Spring 2026
The NSPRA Publications and Digital Media Awards program recognizes high-quality communication materials that effectively inform and engage school communities. Entries are evaluated by communication professionals from across the nation and judged alongside organizations of similar size and type.
The Award of Excellence is the highest recognition presented within a category, while Honorable Mention recognizes publications that demonstrate strong communication, design, and storytelling.
The award-winning Fall 2025 issue featured Passing the Torch, highlighting the partnership between Plain Local Schools and Plain Township Fire Department, and the students exploring careers in public safety. The Spring 2026 issue featured Portraits of Plain, showcasing students from Glenwood, Oakwood, and GlenOak who shared what helps them feel connected and supported in Plain Local Schools.
Eagle Nation Magazine is produced by the Plain Local Schools Communications Department and mailed to district residents throughout the school year.
