Kindergarten Registration Opens February 2 for the Class of 2039
Plain Local Schools is excited to welcome our next class of Little Eagles. Kindergarten registration for the 2026–2027 school year opens Monday, February 2, 2026.
Families can complete the required registration paperwork online through FinalForms, Plain Local’s secure registration system. This online process makes it easy to submit information from home while helping our team prepare for each incoming student. In some cases, families may still be asked to bring documents in person to verify and approve required materials.
Who Is Eligible for Kindergarten?
For the 2026–2027 school year, Ohio House Bill 114 requires that students be five years old on or before Plain Local’s first day of school, August 20, 2026, in order to enroll in kindergarten.
Not sure which elementary school your child will attend? Families can call 330-492-3500 to have their address checked.
What Happens After You Register?
After completing FinalForms, families will be added to a ParentSquare group for the Class of 2039 at their child’s elementary school. This group will be used to share next steps, important updates, and a sign-up to select an appointment time for our in-person Kindergarten Fair.
Attend Our In-Person Kindergarten Fair
Families are invited to attend our Kindergarten Fair on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Kindergarten Fair gives families a first look at their child’s school, a chance to meet teachers and staff, and time to ask questions. Families can also tour a school bus, sample cafeteria food, and complete any remaining registration items in person if needed.
