Eagle Nation Magazine Earns Top Honor

Plain Local Schools Wins National Award of Excellence for Eagle Nation Magazine

Plain Local Schools has earned a prestigious Award of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for its flagship publication, Eagle Nation Magazine. This recognition places the district’s magazine among the top-rated school communications in the nation.

NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards spotlight the best in school public relations, honoring high-quality publications, marketing materials, videos, websites, and social media. The Award of Excellence is the highest distinction in each category, judged on both content and quality compared to peer submissions from across the country.

“Eagle Nation Magazine has been such a fun way to shine a light on all of the amazing things happening across Plain Local Schools,” said Editor Mary Beddell. “Each issue is a time capsule that captures what teaching, learning, and community looked like at that moment. This recognition is shared with our supportive Board of Education, our team of contributors who bring each article to life, and our incredible commercial photography teacher Jeannene Mathis-Bertosa, whose talent behind the lens helps bring our cover stories to life.”
