25-26 ParentSquare Update

We shared at the end of the 2024-2025 school year that we have adopted a new form of school-to-home communication at Plain Local Schools called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform provides a safe and consistent way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to communicate.

Some features you can look forward to:

• Announcements, reminders, and messages all in one place for all students, classes, clubs, activities, and sports. 
• Direct messaging with automatic language translation
• The option to choose how you receive messages—by text, email, app notification, or web
• The choice to receive messages instantly or in a daily summary

Parents/Guardians with up-to-date contact information should have received an email or text asking them to activate their account. Or you can visit parentsquare.com to get an activation code with your phone number or email address on file with Plain Local Schools.

Follow the steps below to activate your account:

1. Open the invitation email or text. Click Activate your account or tap the link to activate your account. Or visit parentsquare.com and enter your email address associated with Plain Local Schools to get an activation code emailed to you. 
2. Create a Password for your ParentSquare account and click Register.
3. Click Confirm for your phone number and/or email. A verification code will be sent to the email or phone number.
4. Enter the verification code to confirm.
5. Confirm your child(ren) by clicking Confirm. Use Not My Child if a child listed is not associated with your account.
6. Select Yes, This is Me when you have confirmed your contact information and child(ren) associated with your account.

All district and school, grade level, and classroom information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices).
