Plain Local Schools has transitioned to ParentSquare as our exclusive communication platform for the 2025–2026 school year.

ParentSquare is designed to make it easier for families to stay connected with their child’s school. It will bring all school communication, emails, text messages, app notifications, forms, and announcements into one easy-to-use platform. This change will replace systems like Remind, different email newsletters, and other tools we’ve used in the past, giving you one place to receive information from teachers, principals, and the district.

What does this mean for Plain Local families?

Parents/Guardians with up-to-date contact information should have received an email or text asking them to activate their account. Alternatively, you can visit parentsquare.com to obtain an activation code using the phone number or email address on file with Plain Local Schools.

Follow the steps below to activate your account:

1. Open the invitation email or text. Click Activate your account or tap the link to activate your account. Or visit parentsquare.com and enter your email address associated with Plain Local Schools to get an activation code emailed to you. 
2. Create a Password for your ParentSquare account and click Register.
3. Click Confirm for your phone number and/or email. A verification code will be sent to the email or phone number.
4. Enter the verification code to confirm.
5. Confirm your child(ren) by clicking Confirm. Use Not My Child if a child listed is not associated with your account.
6. Select Yes, This is Me when you have confirmed your contact information and child(ren) associated with your account.

All district and school, grade level, and classroom information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices).
