The office of Special Education begins working with district families as early as a child’s 3rd birthday through early identification and intervention services until graduation or their 22nd birthday. The office manages all special education evaluations and IEP services plans as well as state and federal compliance requirements. In addition, all district professional development regarding students with special needs, placement of students, speech services as well as a liaison for all related services (occupational therapy, physical therapy and audiology).

"It is my goal to help students and staff understand that "to soar" is not a skill that is developed in a single try. Eagles soar when they use their wings to make the uphill climb until they reach an altitude where their hard work pays off. With hard work everyday, we soar together"
-Megan Bartuseck, Special Education Director
