Q: When should I expect to get my bus information?
A: Bus letters will be mailed home for qualifying students (Must live beyond 1 mile radius) on Wednesday, August 15. Make sure you are on the look out for this letter to be mailed to your home. Questions about busing after August 15 should be directed to 330-492-1918 for assistance. 

Q: Where can I find my lunch menu?
A: All lunch menus are available online! You can click here or visit any school webpage under "Quick Links" to view the menu. The online platform allows parents to see nutritional information and allergens for all meals served. New lunch menus for the 2018-2019 school year will be loaded on August 1. 

Q: How can we pay for school lunch? 
A: There are three easy ways to pay for school lunch. 1) PRE-PAYMENTS ONLINE, To pay online using your credit/debit card or electronic check, go to You will need your student’s ID number (located on all report cards and student schedules). 2) CHECK, Please make sure all checks are made payable to your student’s school cafeteria. Include your student’s name and cafeteria PIN # on the check. A fee will be applied to all returned checks for insufficient funds. 3) CASHSending in cash with younger students is not recommended, but is accepted. Please place the money in a sealed envelope with the student’s name and PIN # on the envelope.

Q: When will I get my schedule?

GlenOak High School: 
Grade 9 will pick their schedules up at Orientation on Monday, August 13. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors will pick up their schedules at GlenOak during the outlined times below.

Oakwood Middle School: 
Homeroom Rosters Posted on Oakwood Doors at 8:00am on Friday, August 17. Students will get their full schedule in homeroom on the first day of school. 

Glenwood Intermediate School 
Homeroom Rosters Posted on Glenwood Doors at 3:00pm on Friday, August 17. Students will get their full schedule at Open House on August 21. Students that do not attend Open House will get their schedule on the first day of school in homeroom. 

Elementary Buildings: 
Class lists will be mailed to homes on Monday, August 13 for all Elementary Buildings.

Q: When is the first day of school?
A: There is a staggered start for our students in new buildings.

Q: Where can I find my supply list?
A: Copies of the Plain Local Schools Supply List were sent to all local stores that carry school supplies. In addition you can download our supply list here. 

Please note that there is no formal supply list for GlenOak High School, students should bring a notebook and writing utensil the first day of school.

Q: How can I contact my school?
A: Building secretaries returned to work on August 1. You can contact any school by phone or by visiting the school. 

Q: How can I register a new student for the 2018-2019 school year? 
A: Building secretaries returned on August 1. You can register new students at the school they will attend. Not sure what school your child will attend? Call us at 330-492-3500 to confirm! 

Q: Where can I find fall Athletic Schedules?
A: All of the fall Athletic schedules are posted on the Athletic Website at You can click on any sport at the top of the page to view the individual team schedule. Save the date for the fall sports kick off on Wednesday August 22 at 6:30pm at GlenOak High School on the piazza. 

Q: I heard that we are moving to electronic forms for 2018-2019, how will this effect me as a parent? 
A: YES, Plain Local Schools is excited to announce that for the 2018-2019 school year we will be moving to all electronic forms for the start of the school year. You will be receiving an email from FinalForms (from the sender on August 6 with login information and steps on how to complete the necessary forms for each of your students. If you did not receive this email please call your school to get the information resent. We think this process will be a time saver for parents and are excited to roll this program out! 

Q: Are clear back packs a requirement at any of the schools? 
A: No, the backpack policy was amended during the 2017-2018 school year and no students are required to carry a clear back pack.
