Plain Local Schools is proud to help fight food insecurity this summer in our community. Our food service department will provide meals at several locations for families in need. Breakfast and lunch will be provided Monday-Friday, June 1 - August 12, 2022. Please note no meals will be provided on July 4, 2022. Meals are provided at no cost to children ages 1-18 in our community.

We are excited to announce a new spin on an old classic! For years we have kept our community informed with our newspaper, The Plain Paper. We are excited to announce that the Plain Paper has been rebranded as a community magazine titled, Eagle Nation. After months of planning, our first issue is here!

Plain Local Business Manager Announces Retirement

After 45 years in education, 16 of which in the role of Business Manager for Plain Local Schools, Tom Brabson has announced his retirement effective October 2022. Tom served as Athletic Director in Plain from 1997-2000 and then returned to Plain Local Schools in 2006 to serve as Business Manager. Mr. Brabson had this to share about his time in Plain Local, “After 45 years in education I can confidently say that Plain Local Schools is the best district I have worked for. We offer students a well-rounded education and have an incredibly dedicated and caring staff. Brent May is an outstanding leader and Superintendent and I am proud to have ended my career here.”

Plain Local Schools announced today, January 26, 2022, that it has completed the installation of Plasma Air Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) solutions at all of the district’s buildings. The project was part of Plain Local’s comprehensive response & effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep students, faculty, and staff as safe as possible.
