Welcome to GlenOak High School!

As we enter the second quarter of the school year, we are gaining momentum for a fantastic year. Our students are finding success in academics, the arts, athletics and many cultural and community activities. We want to congratulate our many students who have received special accomplishments so far this year. In academics, Rebekah Stranger, Kathleen Kee, and Alyssa Blanc all have been recognized as Commended Students for the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program through the PSAT test scores. We had over 1,200 students receive a 3.0 grade point for the first quarter. In athletics, Kinsey Knoch will compete in the Cross Country Championship on November 10. Brandon Jatich competed at the Golf State Championship. Our girls golf team competed in the State Championship finishing 9th. They were also Federal League Champions. In the Arts, our Drama department presented the all school play, "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe". More than 75 GlenOak students designed, built, acted and learned theater technology in preparation for the performances held in the Black Box. Our Academic Challenge team has been selected to compete on teh Channel 5, WEWS Academic Challenge. They are scheduled to compete against Medina Highland and Kent Roosevelt. We look forward to our students to have continued success during the second nine weeks.

We are striving to meet the needs of all of our students exactly where they are, challenging them to take on their next endevor. Our success is depenedent upon a dedicated staff, involved families, a supportive community, and of course, amazing students. We work hard to get better every day and create opportunities for our students to explore their individual talens and interests.

We have a tradition of excellence and are working to maintain our recognition by US News and World Reports as a top school.
