Greetings Glenwood Families and Plain Local Community,
I am very honored to be the Principal of Glenwood Intermediate school and my Alma Mater, which now houses all of Plain Local’s 5th and 6th grade students. We are now entering the start of the 4th nine weeks for the 2020-2021 school year with increased learning opportunities for all students. This nine weeks, we will continue with our traditional schooling format with students having core content classes every day and student selected arts/elective classes.
The GWIS Team has spent the past couple of weeks working to make this transition a successful one for all students while still maintaining many Covid19 guidelines established by the Health Department. Protocols include: face coverings for all students and staff, increased sanitization and social distancing guidelines when feasible. This educational plan will increase student learning opportunities while focusing on health and safety of all students. This year, it is imperative that the school and families work as one unit to provide the best possible education for all students as we navigate through this unprecedented time. We are all in this together and together we will move forward.
I want to thank the amazing Glenwood Team and Community for all the hard work, flexibility and preparation for this school year. Everyone is diligently working to provide the best possible education for all Glenwood Students. An amazing teaching team plus a great community makes for one unstoppable school. Thank you.
