Eagles Select Soccer Team - Tryouts next week

Tryouts for Eagles Select U-12 and U-14 soccer league will be held next week at GlenOak HS stadium.

Tuesday, May 21 at 6:00pm for current 4th and 5th grade boys
Thursday, May 23 at 6:00pm for current 6th and 7th grade boys

*NO unexcused abscences
*NO more than two missing assignments
*NO more than three written warnings "strikes" from the teacher
and
if none of these things happen, then students get to GO PLACES!

ESEA Flexibility Waiver

On May 29, 2012, the US Department of Education granted the OH Department of Education a waiver of several provisions of No Child Left Behind. Under the Title I No Child Left Behind, districts were required to offer students attending schools in school improvement status the opportunity to attend another public school not in school improvement. This provision has been waived and districts are no longer required to offer this option. Students taking the public school choice option during the 2011-12 school year are allowed to remain in the transfer school until they complete the highest grade in that school. However, the district is no longer responsible to provide or pay for transportation.
