Taft 3rd Grader And Her Girl Scout Troup Making A Difference In Our Community
3rd Grader Emma Poorman, a member of Girl Scout Troup 738, along with a grant received from Summertime Kids, sponsored a Family Fun Day for the Domestic Violence Project.
It all started with an idea to hold a small dinner and supply DVPI residents with "needs bags". This idea turned into a 3-hour mini-carnival with games, prizes, a craft, balloons, cotton candy, door prizes, cases of donated food, cell phones, books, toys, and
a lunch of rigatoni, hot dogs, chips, salad, rolls, and desserts.
Many area businesses helped the girl scouts with there collections.
Congratulation to Emma and her Girl Scout

We are proud to have Emma a part of TEAM TAFT!!
