GlenOak High School to stage BARNUM
February 25-27 on the Abbey Foltz Stage
GlenOak High School’s Abbey Foltz stage will be become home to the life of P.T. Barnum, February 25-27 as GlenOak High School presents the musical Barnum. Over 100 students will join forces to bring the pageantry and wonderment of the circus to life as part of this amazing production.
Barnum, the musical, traces P.T. Barnum's career from 1835 to 1881 when he joined James A. Bailey to form the circus dubbed The Greatest Show on Earth. The production combines elements of traditional musical theater with the spectacle of the circus including side show acts, dancers, gymnasts, and Jumbo the Elephant.
A special Plain Local Senior Citizen dinner and performance will be presented on Thursday, February 25. Dinner will be served from 4:30 - 5:30 PM with the show beginning at 6:00 PM. The cost of the event is $15 per person. Senior citizens Golden Eagle GO card members will save $5 per person for the dinner and show. Those that have not signed up for the new card can do so during school hours at GlenOak High School.
Curtain time for the both the Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27 performances is 7:00 PM. Pre-Curtain entertainment will begin 30 minutes prior to curtain time each evening.
Tickets are available at the GlenOak High School Ticket Office. All seats are reserved. Tickets for the special Thursday Senior Citizen performance are $5.00 (show only) with a Golden Eagle GO Card. Seats for the Friday and Saturday performances are priced at $9. For more information call 330-491-3845.
