My family lives in Plain Local and my husband and I have two girls that attend Plain Local Schools.I have a teaching degree for Language Arts for grades 5-6 and I speak two languages that gives me a great chance to enjoy my job even more. I love learning about my student's cultures and languages. When I'm not working, I like to garden, bake, but mostly read. If you have any questions please contact me anytime.
I am beginning my 12th year working as an EL tutor in Plain Local Schools and this is my second year as an EL case manager. My husband (A Plain Local School board member) and I both graduated from GlenOak and so have all three of our sons!
Some of the things I love doing outside of school are reading, traveling, and watching/cheering on both competitive swimming and basketball.
My teaching degree is in Special Education (K-12) and I've enjoyed the numerous inservices, workshops and professional development involving EL training. The best part of being an EL tutor, besides working with my students, is learning about their cultures and customs as well as getting to know their families. Please feel free to contact me at my email address any time you have a question. I'm looking forward to another fun and exciting school year!!
My name is Melissa Tolbert. I have a 10 year old son that attends Glenwood Intermediate, a three year old daughter Cadence and my husband, Josh, who also works for the Plain Local District maintenance department. My husband and I are both GlenOak graduates and are proud that our son and daughter will both be GlenOak graduates. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
I am Mary Williams. This is my 24th year working as an EL tutor for the Plain Local School District, and I very much enjoy helping our students to grow in their knowledge of the English language. I, also, love learning about the languages and cultures of our students and their families. As an EL tutor, there is on-going professional development that is valuable for me to improve on how I help our English language learners.
I like to make the time that I am working with students interesting and fun. In doing this, I feel we will accomplish much more. Please feel free to contact me at my email address.
