Six GlenOak High School students were transported to area hospitals for observation after Plain Local bus #9 was involved in an accident this morning. The driver of both vehicles, and the other thirty students on the bus, did not appear to be injured.
A truck driven by a GlenOak student struck the bus after the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The accident occurred on Schneider Ave as the bus was stopped at the railroad tracks near Firestone Ave.
Following the accident, officials were summoned to the scene. The parents of those transported have all been notified. School officials are working to contact all parents of students riding the bus.
